The Mirabeau B. Lamar Texas History Teacher Award
The Mirabeau B. Lamar Texas History Teacher Award is presented to a public or private school teacher who has exhibited extraordinary qualities as an instructor of Texas history. The selected teacher will receive a plaque or trophy and a small monetary award in appreciation to be presented at our annual member banquet.
The 2023 recipient of the Mirabeau B. Lamar Texas History Teacher Award was Daniel J. Work, 7th Grade Texas history teacher & Team Leader at Woodcreek Middle School, Humble ISD.
